Rocky Mountains

Hello! I really do apologize for my absence. My parents came to visit us for about a week & I’ve been working a lot of hours lately that the blog sadly came last. You guys are in for a real treat though! Alex, myself and my parents visited Rocky Mountain National Park last Wednesday and it was truly breath-taking. I promise I tried to get a photo with Alex but he was too whiny about how bright the sun was. It’s really a miracle to get a good picture of this guy.
The first photo is just a view on our car ride to the park, and this photo above shows you the road that take you to the highest peak you can drive to. These winding roads were not for the faint of heart.
Once you make it to the top, there is a short hike to the actual summit. The views and the altitude will literally take your breath away. Breathing is so sea-level anyways. We were in a tundra climate where trees can’t grow & it snowed the night before!
I had such a great time exploring Colorado with my parents! Also-thank goodness for selfie sticks. We got a great family picture without having to track down a stranger. In other news I just bought the Whole30 book and I plan on trying it out in September. If you’ve done it or have any suggestions please send them my way! I’m not much of a cook, so this will definitely be a challenge for me but I’m thinking it will be worth it.

Have a great day everyone!
